Thoughts Count is a product of Damay Enterprises ("we," "us," or "our") and operates the website thoughtscount.com. Thoughts Count helps you show up for the people and moments that matter — turning a short conversation into a personalized plan, and, if you choose, gentle reminders so you don't miss the moment. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: Thoughts Count uses passwordless, "magic link" sign-in. When you create an account we collect your email address so we can send you a sign-in link and, at your request, your plan and reminders. We do not ask for or store a password.
• The people and moments you save: To build your plan and remind you, we store what you choose to tell us — for example the person you're showing up for, your relationship to them, the occasion, important dates, and any context you share in the conversation. This is yours; we use it only to help you.
• Communications: If you email us, we keep the content of your message and your email address so we can reply.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Basic, anonymous information about how the site is used (for example which steps people reach) so we can improve it. Our first-party product analytics use a random, anonymous identifier and do not collect your personal details.
• Measurement & advertising technologies: To understand how visitors find us and whether our ads work, we use third-party measurement tools that may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. See Section 4 for the specific technologies and your choices.
• Device and log data: Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and access times to keep the service secure and working.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create your personalized plan and show it back to you
• Send your plan and the reminders you opt into, by email
• Let you sign back in and see the people and dates you've saved
• Respond to your questions and provide support
• Understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse

We do not sell your information or use the personal details you share with us (the people, dates, and context you save) to build advertising profiles. We do use the measurement and advertising technologies described in Section 4 to understand our traffic and the effectiveness of our ads.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Thoughts Count, and only as needed to do so:

• Hosting & database: Netlify and Supabase host the site and securely store your account and saved data.
• Email delivery: SendGrid delivers your sign-in links, plans, and reminders.
• Local suggestions: When a plan includes nearby ideas, we may query Google Places for public place information. We do not send your saved personal details to third parties for their own use.
• Legal & safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transfers: If Damay Enterprises is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.

4. Measurement & Advertising Technologies

To measure our website traffic and understand whether our advertising reaches the right people, we use the following third-party tools. These may set cookies or similar identifiers and send limited technical and event information (such as pages viewed and whether you requested a plan) to the providers named below:

• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — measures visits and conversions and helps us understand and improve advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
• Google Analytics (GA4) (Google LLC) — measures site traffic and how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
• Pinterest Tag (Pinterest, Inc.) — measures visits and conversions from Pinterest and helps us understand and improve advertising there.

We use these tools to measure traffic and conversions and to make our advertising more relevant and effective. We do not sell your personal information. You can limit this collection by using your browser's privacy controls, a tracking-blocker extension, or your device and ad-platform settings; the site works normally if these tools are blocked.

Your opt-out (Do Not Sell or Share): To the extent the technologies above constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law (CCPA/CPRA) or similar laws, you can opt out at any time. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically: if your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we will not load these advertising and analytics technologies. You can also use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" link in our footer, which turns them off for you on this device. Either choice leaves the site fully functional.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption and stored with our hosting and database providers under access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and the data associated with it at any time by emailing care@thoughtscount.com; we will delete or anonymize it within 30 days, except where we must retain something for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your Choices & Rights

• Access, correct, or delete the information you've saved
• Turn off email reminders at any time (each reminder email includes an opt-out, and you can ask us to stop)
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it
• Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" for advertising — via the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal (which we honor automatically) or the "Do Not Sell or Share My Info" link in our footer

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential local storage to keep you signed in and remember your progress. In addition, the measurement and advertising technologies described in Section 4 (Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and the Pinterest Tag) may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure traffic and advertising. You can block or clear these using your browser settings or a tracking-blocker; the site works normally either way.

9. Children's Privacy

Thoughts Count is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will delete it if we learn we have.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Thoughts Count after changes means you accept the updated policy.
